Facebook Covers Have A New Look in 2016
I, for one, never liked having to design Facebook covers around the area where your profile picture might be (or would probably be) plus your name, and all that stuff. Come on – I know I can’t be the only one.
I personally like the new layout! I like that the profile picture is off to the side with all the standard information right underneath. I think this is a good move and should make life easier for Facebook cover designers.
I thought it might be helpful to grab the dimensions and put them here.
- Profile Picture: cropped to fit a square that is 160 x 160 pixels
- Cover Photo Desktop: displays 828 pixels wide x 315 pixels tall on desktops
- Cover Photo Smartphone: displays at 640 pixels wide x 360 pixels tall
- For Fastest Load: an sRGB JPG that is 851 pixels wide x 315 pixels tall and is less than 100 kbs in size.
